Anthony P. Capretta was elected to Brunswick City Council, Ward 4 in 2003 and re-elected in 2007 and 2011. He has served on the Parks & Recreation, Finance, and Economic Development committees. He is past chairman of the Safety & Environment, Building & Building Code, and Service & Technology committees.
Anthony P. Capretta's public service career spans 25 years. Prior to becoming City Councilman, Mr. Capretta served as a Common Pleas Court and Juvenile Court Bailiff, and as a Commissioned Officer for the Cuyahoga County Courthouse. Presently, he serves as an Inspector in the Division of Weights and Measures, protecting consumers and business owners from waste and fraud.
Capretta is a graduate of Cuyahoga Community College, with an Associate of Science Degree in Law Enforcement. He is also a graduate of Case Western Reserve University Gund School of Law - Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.
Anthony and his wife, Diane, live at 4188 Dennis Lane. Both are volunteers for the United States Veterans Relief Organization, and are parishioners of St. Ambrose Church. He is also a member of Brunswick Eagles Aerie 3505.
