Ward Two Councilman Vince Carl is the chairman of the Finance committee and is a member of the Parks and Recreation and the Safety & Environment committees. Carl has previously served on the Economic Development, Services Utilities & Cable committees.

A 1979 graduate of Saint Edward High School, Carl is employed as a computer consultant for Beacon Hill. Carl holds a computer science degree from Cleveland State University as well as an associate degree in Applied Business from Cuyahoga Community College.

Carl has coached softball and soccer for Brunswick Youth Sports and also teaches Junior Achievement course to aid in the proficiency tests at Brunswick and Cleveland elementary schools. He is a member of the Brunswick Historical society, Brunswick Art Works, The Optimist Club, Knights of Columbus and a minister of hospitality at St. Colette Church.
