Brunswick is on a great trajectory.  Within the last few years alone, the Cleveland Clinic, UH/Southwest General Hospital, and the Digestive Disease Center have brought to our City not only world-class emergency room and medical services, but also stable high-paying employment opportunities.  We are also home to other businesses that are national leaders in their fields (e.g., Designer Showcase and Inflatable Images).

With over $95 million in business investments over the last 2 years, Brunswick has navigated the tough economic times with measurable success.  Indeed, exciting business development opportunities continue to percolate for our Center Rd. and Pearl Rd. corridors, and for our I-71 interchange area.  Estimates are that the interchange project alone could produce more than 800 permanent local jobs, excluding the short-term construction jobs, with all of the spillover economic activity those jobs would entail.

Our efforts to expand local options for higher education have paid huge dividends.  Cuyahoga Community College (“Tri-C”) is building a new 30,000 square foot higher educational center at the high school complex, offering degree and certification programs with multiple university and college partners.  But in addition, Lorain County Community College and the University of Akron are quickly expanding their innovative course offerings at their Midpoint Campus here in Brunswick.  These institutional partners will help prepare our younger residents for more responsible citizenship and for productive careers.  They will also help our adult residents fine tune their educational and work-skill profiles and assist those transitioning between careers.

When we say we’re business-friendly, we mean it.  We are grateful for the investment businesses continue making in Brunswick.  We understand the commitment they make when they decide to locate here.  That’s why we continue refining our site plan and development review process.  We strive to help interested businesses achieve their business plans with as much cooperation as we can give them.  Our business ethic and the measurable results we have achieved explain why Brunswick was a recent recipient of the “Northeast Ohio Business Friendly Community Award”.

Brunswick is in the right location for just about any business prospect.  Our businesses are our partners, and their success is our success.  You really must check out the Economic Development page at this website to appreciate fully what is possible for you and your business here in Brunswick.  We’re truly here to help.
