Tools for Business
Brunswick provides Tools for Business, with local, state, federal and best-of-the-web resources to start and grow businesses. Tools for Business contains a business start-up kit with all the forms to comply with government requirements, links to funding resources, green business practices, business tax incentives, employer resources, online classes and more. It is also viewable in Spanish.
Great location
The City of Brunswick is an ideal place for commercial, industrial and residential development. Brunswick is located close to Cleveland and Akron and via I-71. Brunswick is 20 minutes from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and only 10 minutes from the Ohio Turnpike.
Business and family friendly
Brunswick is a community of safe, family-oriented neighborhoods with a thriving atmosphere of commercial, industrial and educational growth. Our city is designated a "business friendly community" in northeast Ohio by the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce and in partnership with the Greater Cleveland Growth Association. There is an active Brunswick Area Chamber of Commerce, SCORE and IDEA Group (Improving and Developing Economic Activity) to help you start and build your business.
Center of education
For the past five years, the State of Ohio rates Brunswick City School District "Excellence with Distinction." This is their highest rating.

Cuyahoga County Community College's new facility, Brunswick University Center, opened for classes in January 2011 with over 800 students with Tiffin University. Cleveland State University is scheduled to join them later in the year..
In addition, a Lorain County Community College and University of Akron partnership opened at Midpoint Campus in Brunswick on January 20, 2009.
Medical hub
Brunswick is home to world class medical facilities like The Cleveland Clinic, Southwest General Health Care Center and Medina General Hospital. Digestive Disease Consultants opened a new 38,000 square foot medical facility in March 2009, and several new and expanded projects continue along the two main corridors.
Southwest Hospital has also added a 16,000 square foot 24 hour emergency center.
New tax abatements-incentives
New economic incentives has attracted over $95 million in new business and residential investments over the last 2 years, and another $200 million planned over the next two years.
