Awards:
- Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting: Each year, as the result of the City’s preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and the City’s annual audit, we apply for this award to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). Going back to the early/mid 1980’s the City has received this award annually. Most recently, the City received this award for our 2011 CAFR.
“The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management” -- GFOA
- Auditor’s Award: This award is given to the City by the State Auditor's Office. It is awarded based on the City's commitment to the highest standards of financial reporting and for being responsible stewards of the taxpayers' dollars. The City is extremely proud that we have received the Auditor's Award for the years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
