American Red Cross Parent and Child Aquatics builds swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water. Parents and children participate in several guided practice sessions that help children learn elementary skills, including water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking, back floating, underwater exploration and more.

Fees for all Parent-Child classes:

Infants & Toddlers (Tadpoles)

  • Designed for infants and toddlers with no previous water experience.
  • Promotes water safety and acclimation.
  • Parental involvement required throughout the class
  • Promotes swimming readiness and basic skills.

Pre-school (Seahorses)

  • Promotes water safety knowledge, acclimation to the water and socialization skills.
  • No swimming skills required.
  • The class will be split by instructors on the first day, to have a Seahorses 1 and Seahorses 2 (advanced).
