Registration policies
- All checks are payable to "The City of Brunswick". A $20 service charge will be assessed on any returned check. On all returned checks, participants will be suspended from all programs until the check and the service charges are paid.
- Most classes have a minimun and maximum number of participants. To insure a space in the class, it is very important that you register as soon as possible. Once registration is full, a waiting list will be established.
- Paid registrations are accepted at the Rec Center until the noted deadline or the program limit is reached.
- A daytime phone number on the registration form is very important in order to contact participants about class information and in the event of an emergency.
- Classes will be filled on a first-paid first-served basis.
- I agree to allow photographs of myself or my child(ren) taken during Rec Center activities to be used for promotional purposes.
Program refund policy
Refunds will be issued when:
- A program is cancelled by the Rec Center.
- A request is made at least 24 hours before the class begins.
Refunds are issued in the form of a check from City Hall or a charge card credit. No refunds granted after the class begins. Participants assume risk of changes in personal affairs or health. A $20 administrative fee may apply.
Fair Share policy
The Brunswick residents make a significant contribution to the financing and operation of the Parks and Recreation Department. The City property tax and income tax are paid whether or not the individual participates or uses the parks facilities or the Recreation Center facilities. The Fair Share Policy concept is intended to apportion to non-residents an equalized fee, so that they contribute to the overall financing of the Parks and Recreation department on an equitable basis with residents. It is hoped that this policy will give not only equal treatment, but also a better understanding of fees and overall financing to both residents and non-residents.
