Branch chipping is scheduled to occur on three separate weeks in 2011:
- week of May 16
- week of June 27
- week of September 12
Please note that branch chipping will follow your normal trash collection route.
NOTE: If curbside pick-up is heavy, collection may occur 1-2 days after your regularly scheduled day; however, please have your branches curbside on your pick up day by 7:00 am.
Branch chipping regulations:
- Tree branches should be free of wire or rope and must not be tied.
- Tree branches cannot be over 6 inches in diameter.
- For safety reasons, tree branches under 3 feet must be bundled for our refuse company to pick up.
- Put cut ends of the tree branches all in one direction either towards the street or in the direction of the traffic flow.
- Tree branches need to be on the tree lawn or street side of the ditch.
- Stumps will be picked up only if one person can handle (not to exceed 35 lbs.)
- Yard waste must be properly contained and disposed of with your weekly refuse collection.
- Bushes and shrubbery cannot be chipped and therefore will not be picked up with this service. They can be cut and bundled for pick up by our refuse company (no longer than 4 foot and bundled no heavier than 35 lbs). The refuse company will also pick up the root balls from the bushes and shrubbery, if they are cut separately and not heavier than 35 lbs.
- Tree branches are not allowed to be placed curbside prior to the scheduled week of collection. When branches are left curbside other than the scheduled week of collection, residents will receive notification to remove the branches.
