The Brunswick Municipal Government Academy is a hands-on inclusive program designed for residents and business owners to learn about Brunswick’s Council-Manager form of government and how decisions are made that affect the quality of life in Brunswick.

Participants will be given the opportunity to tour City facilities and speak directly with departmental managers, professional staff and elected officials. It will highlight how laws and legislation are developed and implemented, and demonstrate the collaboration between Community Members, City Administrators and Elected Officials.

Participation in the Academy is free of charge and will be available to City residents and business owners over the age of 18. The seven-week program will be coordinated through the Office of the City Manager/Safety Director. Classes will be held on Wednesdays, beginning on February 28, 2018 at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Brunswick City Hall, 4095 Center Road. The final session will be held at the Brunswick Community Recreation Center on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

A minimum of 20 participants is needed to launch the Academy. Applications are available by printing and returning this form, or by completing and submitting your application electronically. Once received, the applications will be reviewed and participants will be notified of their acceptance into the program. Applications must be submitted no later than 5 pm, Friday, February 23, 2018 for consideration.
