The Brunswick Citizens Fire Academy is a hands-on inclusive program designed for residents and business owners to learn about the Brunswick Division of Fire administration and operations.

Participants will be given the opportunity to interact with the Division of Fire members and gain first-hand knowledge about the administration, operations, facilities and equipment, and get insight into how our fire-medics perform their duties and how we serve the community.

Participation in the Academy is free of charge and will be available to City residents and business owners over the age of 18. The four-week program will be coordinated through the Division of Fire. Classes will meet on Wednesdays, beginning on October 3, 2018, at 6:30 pm in the conference room at the Brunswick Area Television facility, 4274 Manhattan Avenue, Brunswick, Ohio. Each week’s session will begin at the BAT facility, and then move to one of the fire stations for a more interactive experience.

Class size is limited to 15 participants. Applications are available by following one of the following links. You may print and return the form, or complete and submit your application electronically. Once received, the applications will be reviewed and participants will be notified of their acceptance into the program. Applications must be submitted no later than Wednesday September 19, 2018 for consideration.

This is a great way to get a hands-on opportunity to learn about your local fire and emergency services.
