Cleveland Water has been working at the leak site at SR 303 and Boyer Drive. They discovered that they will need to do a replacement of the water line and install a valve. This will take four to five days.
Since residents, businesses and the Rec Center can’t be without water for that period of time, they are turning the existing water main back on while they work on creating a temporary bypass.
The bypass will provide water when the existing main is eventually shut down for repair. In order to create the temporary water line, Cleveland Water will have to perform trenching across 303. The City anticipates this will involve lane closures which will affect traffic.
Once the bypass is providing water to area customers, Cleveland Water will begin working on permanent repairs to the existing main.
