The Medina County Solid Waste District is making changes to the way it collects household hazardous waste, such as insecticides, turpentine, lighter fluid and other potentially dangerous substances.
Instead of hosting local collection days twice a year as it has in the past, the MCSWD will be establishing a year-round hazardous waste center located at their Central Processing Facility at 8700 Lake Road in Seville.
The hazardous waste center will not start operation until later in the spring season, but when it opens it will accept household hazardous waste the following days:
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 am-4:30 pm
- Saturdays from 7:00 am-noon
