At the April 22nd City Council meeting, Mayor Ron Falconi declared May 8-16 as Light Ohio Blue week in the City. After the meeting, members of the Brunswick Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association handed out free blue light bulbs to interested City residents who would like to replace their exterior porch light with the blue one during that time period. The BCPAAA will also be at City Hall on May 1 to hand out bulbs from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 5 pm.
Businesses and residents can also show their support during that time by:
- wrapping blue Christmas lights around your home or business;
- lighting up your home or business with blue spot lights;
- placing blue ribbons on your mailbox, nearby columns or posts; and
- by wearing blue on May 15.
Tell your friends, family and neighbors and post a picture to social media using #LightOhioBlue. We thank you for joining us in showing support for law enforcement and helping us light Brunswick Blue!
