Every 2 years, NOPEC is required by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) to send opt-out letters to all residents and businesses that qualify to participate in the NOPEC Natural Gas Aggregation.
The City of Brunswick is a participant in this aggregation program. Residents are automatically enrolled unless they specifically choose to opt out.
Residents and small businesses within Brunswick will start to receive letters in the mail beginning the week of January 22. The enrollment period will run from January 22, 2018 through February 23, 2018 for the contract beginning April 2018 through December 2019.
Residents and businesses who want to stay with the NOPEC plan do not have to do anything. They may simply discard the letter, and they will be enrolled in the program for another three years.
