The Service Department is still branch chipping following the storm that occurred on Nov. 5. Crews have been working ten hour days, six days a week and will continue working on this project, including the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
The majority of the storm damage was in the area of the city north of Grafton Road, so that is where most of the branch chipping work has been concentrated. Branch chipping is being performed following residents’ normal trash schedule. The Service Department hopes to complete the first round early the week of Nov. 26. After the entire city has been covered, crews will go back and make one more round.
Meanwhile, leaf pickup continues. The City appreciates its residents’ patience as crews work to provide both services simultaneously.
