Charter Review Commission
The city of Brunswick is seeking residents to serve on a Charter Review Commission.
The commission is formed approximately every 5 years to study the city charter and provide recommendations to Brunswick City Council concerning possible amendments.
The Charter Review Commission is composed of nine (9) members, not holding any other municipal office or appointment, appointed by the Mayor between January 1 and January 31 in the year of the review. The members of the Commission shall serve without compensation and their appointment shall terminate when their report to Council, not less than ninety (90) days prior to the next general election, any alterations, revisions, and amendments to this Charter as in its judgment seems advisable. The Council shall submit to the electors any such proposed alterations, revisions, or amendments to the Charter at the general election.

Meetings are determined by the commission after appointment has been made.
