On November 14, 2011, Brunswick City Council adopted Ordinance No. 89‐11 establishing Chapter 1471 of the Brunswick Codified Ordinances, which requires that any person filing a foreclosure action for real property located in the City of Brunswick file a copy of the Complaint with the Development Director/CBO within ten (10) days of filing. Chapter 1471 further requires that contact information for the person(s) responsible for maintaining said real property be provided.
At this time, in lieu of a copy of the Complaint, completion of the “Notice of Foreclosure Filing” form is sufficient.
Failure to comply is a misdemeanor of the fourth degree, with each day of non‐compliance constituting a separate offense. For more information contact the Chief Building Official at 330-558‐6830.
