When emergencies occur…awareness is the key to your safety!

Residents of the City of Brunswick can now be notified of emergency situations by a telephone and digital mass notification system. The Hyper-Reach system allows safety officials to send messages to the entire community. These messages will inform residents of the situation and give instructions for action.

The Hyper-Reach system delivers messages through a combination of phone calls, text and email messages, and TTY/TDD service for the hearing impaired. It can reach thousands of targeted households in seconds and simultaneously extend alerts via social media, Alexa-enabled smart speakers, browser notifications, and FEMA’s Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system for most mobile phones manufactured since 2011.
