Public education and tours

Fire and Rescue

As part of our educational program in 2005, the Division of Fire introduced our new Inflatable Fire Safety House during the month of June at Safety Town and at the Brunswick Old Fashioned Days. Prior to this unveiling, the Brunswick Division of Fire hosted the annual Medina County Fireman’s Association Meeting at Inflatable Images to promote this Fire Safety House to other fire departments.

Designed by firefighter Kathy Kelland, Lt. Matthew Payne and engineers from Inflatable Images of Brunswick, this inflatable is the first of its kind in the nation. This will be an invaluable tool in teaching youngsters fire safety in a home. The Division of Fire plans to use the inflatable at schools, Safety Town and future Summer Celebration festivals. Presently, we are working on a new updated design of this inflatable.

Additionally, fire safety talks are conducted in our school system annually. These opportunities are also available to the general public upon request. Through education, we as a nation have successfully reduced the incidents of fire. We strive to have the Brunswick community a fire safe community.
